FedEx = Holiday Fail

I ordered some things on the 19th from one of my favorite stores with the fastest delivery available (between the 24th & 26th)...still waiting and I can't even have Geoff pick it up because we have different last names.

How old fashioned is that?

Not to mention I ordered things from other stores that use say, UPS or USPS and they all came on time, or maybe a day late.

We tried to explain to the woman that I am in my third trimester, and caring for a sick 3 year old and it doesn't make sense for 'me' to go get it when he can. It doesn't matter if I send him with my id and a signed letter with signature, brings a marriage certificate, hell, it would be interesting if he brought all that and a video of Kenzie coughing, an ultrasound picture and a picture of my face (exhausted after barely sleeping for 3 nights), oh but we can't do that, she said they need to 'find' the package, as in they don't know the location.

Doesn't matter, it's FedEx policy.

I thought their policy was to deliver packages when they were promised to be delivered?

Silly me. I know it won't be today because she confirmed that it is NOT on a truck. It 'was' on a truck on Christmas eve...but it got demoted apparently. Hopefully I'll see my package next year.

Facebook Nurse-in

Well, I almost didn't find out in time what the whole nurse in was about, but fortunately I went to starbucks this morning and saw a mention of it on a Seattle newspaper. Apparently the facebook powers that be have deemed photos of babies eating (aka nursing) more offensive than all those scantily clad women showing MUCH more boob. So in response there is a virtual nurse-in going on today where moms are posting pictures and statuses related to nursing.

Personally, I don't find boobs offensive in either case, they are beautiful in that they serve many functions, I'll elaborate when I'm using a real keyboard, typing on my blackberry now.

...couple hours later, I'm on my new msi wind computer now (love love love it!!! Thanks to my lovely husband Geoffy Bear!!!)

Anyway, I did some more research on the nurse-in and it's pretty big, there's about 70,000 people who have joined (almost) probably people like me who just posted pics/statuses too though.

I'm hoping to find out sooner about an event like this so I can promote it more.

Carrot Juice vs. Ice Cream

I am about the proudest mommy ever right now...Kenzie and I had agreed today, after leaving the mall to stop for ice cream. Soon after she told me she had to go to the bathroom, so after a long ride home to go potty then:

She said "I want Ice Cream now."
I said, "How about we make carrot juice instead?" (here is the cool part....)
Her: "Carrot Juice?! YAY!!!"
Me: "Do you want to have Carrot Juice instead of ice cream?"
Her: "Yes!" ... and she ran to the kitchen.
Me (after we made it): "Carrot Juice is way better than ice cream any way isn't it?"
Her: "Yeah, it is better." (with a big grin)

So I went ahead and let her drink it out of a nice glass to make it even more special, she is so wonderful!!!
