Religion

I just took the Religion/Spiritual Quiz off of the wsuu.org site and this is how I came out:

1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Liberal Quakers (89%)
3. Neo-Pagan (88%)
4. New Age (85%)
5. Secular Humanism (79%)
6. Theravada Buddhism (78%)
7. Mahayana Buddhism (75%)
8. New Thought (72%)
9. Reform Judaism (70%)
10. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (68%)
11. Scientology (65%)
12. Jainism (62%)
13. Taoism (60%)
14. Hinduism (59%)
15. Bahá'í Faith (59%)

It is so interesting to see the variety of what comes up as far as what I 'believe' and how I feel...I think it is very true and almost comical that the UU came out on top though, I never believed in organized religion, I didn't participate and didn't really see it as beneficial aside from people finding comfort in people raised the same way as them. When I went to the WSUU, especially on Mother's Day, which I think was my second week....I cried.

It was the kind of cry, that was like a dream coming true, that I never really believed would come true. I was surrounded by nice, friendly people, who were sympathetic to my negative/agnostic views of church and god, and very respectful when I say that the most I can say I believe in is... Love.

I just wanted to post this because if there's anyone out there like me, who is NOT into religion, but appreciates a loving supportive spiritual environment that isn't afraid to be whoever they are, and will accept others in the same light...there is a place out there for you.

Wow. That's interesting. It seems like we are on a very similar wavelength in terms of spirituality as well as other things. What is the place that you are attending? I would like to learn more. I hope we can meet one day. Sorry I haven't gotten it together to get Johari to the Akido class. Maybe one day we will get up early enough to be there. And also congrats on being engaged. That is truly awesome and amazing.
